S-188. Rarity-4. Good-6 (PCGS).A respectable and pleasing example of this classic overdate rarity. Surfaces generally smooth with only minute granularity and minor marks. Olive and steel brown, the color rather dark though this is virtually always the case for this and other varieties of the era that were struck on the inferior Coltman Brothers planchets. Nicely balanced detail, full for the grade on both sides. The date a bit weak at the very bottom of the digits, but its easily readable and the overdate feature is clear.
