1795 Liberty Cap Cent. S-76A. Rarity-5. Lettered Edge. VG-8, Scratch, Rim Nicks.Sheldon-76 is one of the most common 1795 varieties when it comes with a plain edge, but one of the scarcest when struck on a thick, lettered-edge planchet as here. And this is an attractive example with chocolate-brown and tan surfaces that are smooth and glossy. There are a few marks and scratches around the rims, and a planchet delamination right of the date, but overall there is much to recommend.PCGS# 35720.From the Bill Woytasek Collection.
