1908-S Indian Cent. MS-65+ RD (PCGS). CAC.Here is an exceptional premium Gem Mint State example of this historic small cent issue. Sharply struck with intense satin luster, both sides display very even color for an issue that is often found on streaky planchets due to improperly mixed alloy. Pretty light orange-gold color throughout with intermingled pale apricot highlights that enhance the eye appeal. The first mintmarked United States cent, striking of the 1908-S began on November 27 of that year on presses that were normally used in the production of silver coins. With only a few weeks to go before years end the 1908-S turned out to be a low mintage issue with 1,115,000 pieces delivered. Survivors have always been popular with numismatists, especially when they display the quality and eye appeal offered here.PCGS# 2234. NGC ID: 2296.From the Bimyway Collection.
