Obverse: Laureate bust of Melkart right, with drapery tied around neck; Reverse: Eagle standing left on prow; palm frond behind; to left, ΔI (date) above downward club; monogram to right, Phoenician B between legs. An ever-popular type from a hotly collected series, this emission from the "thirty pieces of silver" in the Bible does exhibit some noted distractions, but nevertheless offers a well-centered, solid strike, as well as a clear date. Due to its edge chipping, NGC has elected not to holder, but simply photo certify.
