Type VI countermark; crowned Y.II. within circular indent. Issued by decree of 20 December 1834, suppressed 31 March 1837 (By Decree of 1 February 1836). Applied to the obverse of an 1835-LIMA MT Peru Republic 8 Reales. The countermark is well punched with clear definition of the details making attribution easy. The host coin is pleasingly problem-free and endowed with pleasing gray toning displaying area of richer coloration in the protected areas that enhances the raised devices.
