MEXICO. Guadalajara. Augustin I Iturbide Silver Proclamation Medal, 1822. PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield. Grove-27a; Fonrobert-6910. Obverse: Uniformed and draped bust of Iturbide right; Reverse: Emblem of Guadalajara: Two lions rampantes (though resembling hounds or wolves</em>) on either side of tree. Quite vibrant and lustrous, this example does exhibit some scattered hairlines, but they are not overly distracting and are consistent with the grading tier. A hint of frosting to the devices adds a bit of a pleasing prooflike nature to this top of the pop at PCGS.
