GERMANY. Baden. Taler, 1814-D. Mannheim Mint. Carl Ludwig Friedrich. PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield. Dav-515; KM-163. A handsome example of the type with full luster and medium gold and plum colored toning that accents both sides. Despite being common on the type, a few small planchet fissures around the denomination are worthy of mention. Also noteworthy is that this example is the single finest graded of the date at PCGS with a single MS-63 appearing in the NGC census as well.
