1925 Stone Mountain Memorial--Counterstamped 385 OKLA--MS-62 (NGC). Wisps of iridescent steely-pink toning drift over both sides of this satin to softly frosted example. Both counterstamps are firmly and evenly impressed on the reverse, the number 385 in the upper left field and OKLA just above the word LIBERTY. This coin is not included in the census of known examples published by Adna G. Wilde in the article "Counterstamped Stone Mountain Half Dollars: Where Are They Today?," The Numismatist, August 1987, although the author does report 14 examples from this state therein. Uncommon Mint State preservation for the type, and sure to see spirited bidding among specialists.
