Fr. 1605*. 1928E $1 Silver Certificate Star Note. PMG Very Fine 25. There are roughly ten examples of this rare $1 Silver Certificate known to the collecting public making it the key to the small size silvers. The presently offered example has been known to collectors since at least 2003 when it first appeared at auction, realizing $12,650 at that time. Bright, evenly circulated paper and broad margins are found on this star note. The important overprint is boldly displayed in deep blue inks.
