1915 Lincoln Cent. Proof-67 BN (PCGS). CAC. Ranking alongside the first-year 1909 V.D.B. and the 1916, the 1915 is one of the rarest pre-1936 proofs in the Lincoln Cent series. A mere 1,150 pieces were produced, and attrition due to melting was high as contemporary collectors had little affection for these matte-finish proofs. A fully impressed Gem with subtle texture to the finish, both sides are nicely toned in a blend of sea-green and pinkish-rose iridescence at more direct angles, especially on the obverse. Even close inspection with a glass fails to find a worrisome blemish on this Superb Gem. An important find for the advanced Lincoln Cent collector.
