1796 Draped Bust Cent. S-93. Rarity-3. Reverse of 1795, Single Leaves--Counterstamped B.B.G--VF Details--Damage (PCGS). A lovely example of this transitional issue with a blend of olive-green and chocolate-brown patina across both sides. The surfaces are overall smooth to the naked eye, revealing a faint trace of granularity under magnification. Nicely centered with bold focal elements, the letters B.B.G have been punched vertically along Libertys portrait, obscuring the corresponding letters in ONE CENT on the reverse. Attractive and absolutely charming for both type collectors and specialists. The B.B.G counterstamp is not noted on the PCGS label.
