1794 Liberty Cap Cent. S-59. Rarity-3. Head of 1794. VF-30 (PCGS). Otherwise universally bold mid grade detail wanes a bit along the lower left reverse border, but all letters in the word UNITED are still discernible. The surfaces are a bit rough and microgranular overall, especially on the reverse, but there are no sizeable marks to distract the unaided eye. A few speckles of light verdigris are also noted, especially along the upper reverse border. With plenty of definition remaining, this coin is sure to appeal to many circulated type collectors seeking an example of the challenging Liberty Cap cent series of 1793 to 1796.
