1804 Draped Bust Half Cent. C-13. Rarity-1. Plain 4, Stemless Wreath--Double Struck, Rotated in Collar--Fine Details--Obverse Cleaned (NGC). Remnants of the first strike are most prominent on the obverse and, indeed, that appears to be the only side to have received two impressions from the die. Portions of the reverse are blunt due to the error, but more than half of the design on that side is clear. Rare, as are all major Mint errors on classic U.S. coins, regardless of type.
