Temptingly close to Mint State in terms of remaining detail, this expertly produced and sharply defined example presents exceptionally well for the assigned grade. The centering is ideal on both sides, and there are neither significant rub nor sizeable marks to interfere with ones appreciation of the aforementioned detail. Dominant dusky-brown patina, the obverse with a blush of light rose toward the left border, reverse with a trace of light surface scale that manifests as deeper olive-gray color. A somewhat glossy texture helps to explain the NGC qualifier, but the eye appeal is remarkably strong in hand. Among the more sharply defined survivors of this particular Guide Book</em> variety of the Nova Constellatio copper that we have handled in recent years, this coin is worthy of serious bidder consideration, and also strong bids.
