New York--New York. 1837 Feuchtwanger Cent. HT-268, Low-120, W-NY-480 Dies 6-I. Rarity-1. German Silver. Reeded Edge. MS-65 (NGC). 18.5 mm. Really a lovely piece, satiny surfaces are predominantly brilliant with wisps of enhancing reddish-gold iridescence. The strike is well centered and otherwise razor sharp in detail, a touch of softness to the central obverse high point typical of the type, and hardly detracting here. Exceptionally well preserved, the surfaces are smooth, attractive, and fully deserving of the coveted Gem Mint State grade assigned by NGC.
