CHINA. Kweichow. Auto Dollar, Year 17 (1928). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, VF Details Gold Shield.L&M-609; K-757; KM-Y-428; WS-1109. Variety with two grass blades. Struck to commemorate the completion of the Kweichow (Guizhou) Provincial Highway and reportedly features Governor Zhou Xichengs personal automobile. Somewhat of a flat strike in the centers with bold legends as is commonly encountered on these issues with signs of handling consistent for the grade. Evidence of being cleaned long ago as indicated on the PCGS insert now displaying lovely light iridescent tone with areas of richer coloration amongst the devices. Despite its shortcomings a handsome and presentable example of this ever popular type coin sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
