Struck in the name and types of Alexander III (the Great) of Macedon. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and scepter; monogram in left field, uncertain control (if any) below throne. Though the obverse is somewhat off-center, it nevertheless offers a rather bold countenance of Herakles.
