An impressive example of this elusive type, well-struck throughout and showing virtually no wear, with soft luster as is typical of the issue and light golden-tan tone that is sprinkled over both sides. Close study confirms this coin is the plate coin in the most recent edition of the Standard Catalog of World Coins (KM) with additional research yielding that this piece has been used as the plate coin for that reference since the second edition (1977).
