拍品描述： 民国十年徐世昌像纪念银币。齿边。徐世昌肖像于正面，反面为凉亭，底部有铭文。光泽亮丽，Gem品相，图文略显霜化，边缘稍有金黄色包浆。极罕版别，NGC评鑑中仅一枚更高分。备受追捧的版别，曾以为是样币，现在看来更像是纪念章，原准备于北京协和医学院开幕时送出。初版设计凉亭下方留空，用于雕铸受赠人姓名，后因在铸造第一批时发现操作困难而改铸"纪念币"三字。

CHINA. Dollar, Year 10 (1921). NGC MS-65.L&M-864; K-676; Hsu-19; WS-0101. Reeded Edge variety. President Hsu Shih Chang and Pavilion with legend at the bottom of the reverse. Shimmering and lustrous, this Gem specimen presents a subtle frosting to the devices and a golden hue as one approaches the peripheries. VERY RARE this alluring, just one has been graded finer in the NGC census.An incredibly popular and desirable type believed to have been a pattern issue, it now appears that these were, in fact, more medallic in nature, and meant to be given out upon the opening of the Peking Union Medical College (PUMC). Initially designed with a blank field below the pavilion for recipients names to be engraved, the design was altered to contain the three struck characters instead, as the engraving proved difficult on the initial batch.
