1808 Normal 5 D. BD-3, Rarity 4+. NGC graded MS-63. Well struck with rich golden toning. The surfaces are clean and fresh, with the luster undisturbed and we note a couple of minor copper streaks on the reverse, a natural part of the copper based alloy used to strengthen the gold planchet. Sometimes the copper alloy makes itself known with these minor dark spots. Minor die clashing is present in the fields, and a handsome and attractive coin in every way. Housed in an Old Style Holder. Only 55,578 struck. Pop 19; 7 finer, 6 in 64+, 1 in 66. (PCGS # 8102) <DOTLEADER> Estimated Value $23,000 - 25,000
