GREAT BRITAIN. George II Coronation Silver Medal, 1727. London Mint. PCGS Genuine--Filed Rims, Unc Details Gold Shield. MI-494/4; Eimer-510. By J. Croker. Obverse: Laureate, draped, and armored bust left; Reverse: George seated right on throne, holding orb and scepter, and being crowned by Britannia standing to right, holding cornucopia and resting elbow upon fasces. Despite the noted edge filing and some scattered hairlines, this rather vibrant specimen exhibits tremendous color, with a particularly alluring burnt sienna peripheral ring on the obverse and an electric cobalt nature on the reverse.
