A crowned "GR" countermark (graded EF Details) on a Spanish colonial 1818-Mo JJ 8 Reales. The countermark is well applied and exhibits the characteristic die chip at the left base of the "R". The host is very lightly cleaned, though with the subsequent pleasing dark toning, the hairlines have become inconsequential to the overall attractiveness.
