BRAZIL. 12800 Reis, 1733-M. Minas Gerais Mint. Joao V. PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield. Fr-55; KM-139; LDMB-O289. A boldly struck and lustrous example with lovely satiny surfaces missing the normally encountered adjustment marks. The reverse exhibits faint signs of the characteristic die break located at 3 near the rim in the beginning stages of die failure. An unusual amount of the original oblique edge can be seen under the tuliped edge without magnification, this is a RARE occurrence and should not be dismissed easily. An attractive thin veneer of orange patination graces the surfaces offering much originality pleasing to the eye certain to catch the attention of the connoisseur.
