Obverse: Persian king or hero in kneeling-running stance right, holding dagger and bow; Reverse: Patterned incuse punch. Based upon the single daric pieces that were commonplace within the empire for the prior 200 years, this larger, double-sized issue from the time of Darios III is much more impressive and quite RARE. Lustrous and vibrant, with a good deal of detail remaining for its characterization merely as Ch VF.
