FINLAND. Finlands Bank. 100 Markkaa, 1862. P-A38a. PMG Choice Very Fine 35. First type, without Series. An exciting mid grade example of this elusive 100 Silver Mark note. PMG reports grading just two of this variety, with this note being the finest known at the time of cataloging. The face of this note displays the date 1862 at the bottom, with a lions at both ends facing the portraits, which are of a man and a woman, with arms at top center. The reverse displays a harbor scene at center with 100 counters at left and right. The color remains pleasing after being in existence for over 150 years. By itself very underrated type and exceptional opportunity.
