Riley including: Vallon Restt, Domino Cafe, Abrahams, Georges Bar, Manhattan Bar, Mars Cafe, Roseland Bar (3), plus Club Cafe 10 cent tokens (2), mostly EF or better quality, a lovely group of these American gangstertokens from Shanghai, China, retail value $200, lot of 11 tokens. E.T. Riley tokens are very interesting since these were used in old Shanghai for slot machines in many bars, restaurants and night clubs, but also, because the all slot machines where these tokens were used belonged to Riley, who was an American gangster in Shanghai. Some night clubs and bars Riley owned by himself, such as 4th Marines Club or D.D.S Cafe. Other establishments were full of his slot machines where many of these tokens were used. Rileys Shanghai dream came to an end when he was arrested and sent to prison in the United States in 1941. Read more about the wild life of E.T.
