袁世凯像共和纪念币一圆银币。签字版样币。 经久不衰的版别。右肩上的边缘处有著名义大利雕刻家"L. Giorgi"签名。袁世凯高帽。此枚样币铸打深峻，镜面底板光可鑑人，正面肖像栩栩如生。反面字符略有複打，边缘铭文的轮廓清晰而底板处则较模糊，别具一格。朦胧的灰色包浆淡化了在放大镜下才可见的几道陈旧擦痕。

CHINA. Silver Dollar Pattern, ND (1914). NGC MS-62. L&M-859; K-642a; KM-Pn28; WS-0095; Wenchao-pg. 533 #856. A wildly popular variety signed by the famous Italian engraver "L. Giorgi" near the rim above right shoulder. Yuan Shih-kai in high feathered hat. A boldly struck pattern with flashy, reflective fields that animate the crisp and imposing obverse portrait. Individual character is supplied by some strike doubling on the reverse, where the outlines of the peripheral legend are visible, offset and faintly visible in the fields. The coin is infused with a cloudy, medium gray tone that mutes the few old scuffs that appear under magnification.
