Obverse: Bust of von Faulhaber left, wearing biretta and cope; Reverse: Facing half-length figure of St. Korbinian, holding Gospels and crozier; three coats-of-arms below; all within wreath. Deep steel gray surfaces, with some darker toning and hints of iridescence at the peripheries, along with some underlying brilliance.<p><em>Serving as the Archbishop of Munich for 35 years, von Faulhaber saw Germany through the end of the Empire in World War I and the Weimar period, to the rise and fall of Nazism and World War II.
