Fr. 1975-K. 1977A $5 Federal Reserve Note. Dallas. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ. Doubled Print Error. This additional face printing error is the most dramatic we have handled and shows the broadest gap we have seen on the Standard type. The impressions are far enough apart the portrait of Washington at center is clearly observed with four eyes. Seen with two different face plate numbers of B47 and F49 indicating a multi-plate cylinder was used during production. With the doubling the note appears out of focus to the human eye which creates a bit of a strain if directly observed for too lengthy a time as the design is one so well etched in our memories. One of the most coveted error types and certainly not offered nearly enough to satisfy collector demand.
