CC-62. Continental Currency. February 26, 1777. $30. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. No. 16403. Signed by Mackukin and Carroll. Emblem of a wreath on a tomb. Latin motto SI RECTE FACIES, which Newman translates "If you act righteously, you will be honored after death." The notes from this series were issued "at Baltimore." While the British occupied Philadelphia, the Continental Congress met in Baltimore from December 20, 1776, to February 27, 1777. This is the final issue which utilized the dual-emblem back on $30 notes. This well preserved example displays darkly printed inks and fully margined choice paper.
