Emblem of a wreath on a tomb at left with the Latin motto SI RECTE FACIES, which Newman translates "If you act righteously, you will be honored after death." A rare $30 note issued "at Baltimore," while the British occupied Philadelphia. The Continental Congress met in Baltimore from December 20, 1776, to February 27, 1777. This is the final issue which utilized the dual-emblem back on $30 notes. This exemplary specimen displays pronounced embossing and vividly printed black inks. The margins and full and even and the paper is pristine for the series. Truly a noteworthy Continental any specialist should desire.
