1944 Washington Quarter. MS-67 (PCGS). CAC. Both sides of this spectacular Superb Gem are toned in cobalt blue, reddish-apricot, salmon pink and autumn-orange. It is a frosty, fully struck and expertly preserved coin that really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. The second Washington quarter with a mintage of more than 100 million coins, the 1944 posted a production of 104,956,000 circulation strikes. It would be challenging to find a more beautiful example than the vividly toned Pogue specimen offered here.
