1910 Barber Quarter. MS-67 (PCGS). Brilliant apart from the lightest pearl gray tinting, both sides also exhibit attractive mint frost. The strike is razor sharp to full over even the most intricate design elements. The underrated 1910 has the third lowest mintage (2,244,000 coins) among Philadelphia Mint circulation strike Barber quarters. David Lawrence (1994) describes it as, "An overlooked issue that can usually be purchased as a common coin." This is unlikely to be true for the Pogue specimen as it is solidly in the Condition Census and sure to sell for a very strong bid. From Heritages FUN Signature Sale of January 2005, lot 4156.
