1914-D Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. MS-65 (PCGS). Frosty and fully lustrous with rich yellow-gold surfaces, all of the design elements are boldly defined. This date is considered to be a common one, although it is somewhat scarcer than its San Francisco Mint counterpart. In grades higher than MS-65, this date is quite rare, as are most Saint-Gaudens double eagles.
