1874-CC Liberty Head Eagle. Fine-15 (PCGS). A lovely example of this desirable issue with vibrant sunshine-yellow coloration and the faintest hints of luster in the protected areas. Evenly worn and bold, with considerable sharpness for the assigned grade. Rare in all grades, 16,767 eagles were struck at the Carson City Mint in 1874. Most specimens are found softly struck and often with surface problems, making it a difficult issue in even circulated grades. This piece is a more than presentable example from an always popular Western mint.
