1962 Franklin Half Dollar. MS-66 FBL (PCGS). Brilliant silver white surfaces are highly lustrous in a satin to softly frosted finish. As with all issues in the circulation strike Franklin half dollar series the 1962 (9,714,000 coins produced) is readily obtainable in circulated and lower Mint State grades. Premium Gems such as this are rare, however, especially with the combination of full striking detail and brilliant surfaces that the present example offers. Tied for finest certified at PCGS in the FBL category, in fact, and eagerly awaiting inclusion in an advanced Franklin half dollar collection on the Set Registry.
