1919 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-64+ (PCGS). CAC. Speckled rose-russet iridescence decorates the reverse periphery, while the obverse is brilliant apart from a splash of lilac-copper over the lower quarter of that side. Lustrous surfaces are sharply struck throughout and nice enough to suggest a full Gem Mint State rating. Instantly recognizable as a key date issue, the 1919 has one of the lowest mintages in the Walking Liberty half dollar series with just 962,000 struck. The present example, premium quality for the assigned grade, would serve as a highlight in an advanced Walking Liberty half dollar set.
