1955 Lincoln Cent. MS-67+ RD (PCGS). CAC. Phenomenal bright orange surfaces are intensely lustrous with a softly frosted texture. The strike is sharp to full throughout the design, both sides very close to pristine and well deserving of the Superb Gem grade assigned by PCGS. The 1955 (330,958,200 circulates strikes produced) is certainly an available Lincoln cent issue in an absolute sense; original Uncirculated rolls still exist in numismatic hands. Near the top of the numismatic grading scale, however, this issue is a formidable condition rarity, like so many classic U.S. Mint issues. This extraordinary coin, tied for finest certified at PCGS, would be perfect for an advanced Registry Set.
