拍品描述： 1652 Oak Tree Sixpence. Noe-Unattributable. IN on Obverse. Very Fine, Rough. 26.3 grains. Although most major design elements on both sides are at least partially discernible, the upper left obverse is worn nearly smooth due to slight waviness in the planchet, effacing (virtually) all the diagnostic first S in MASATHVSETS needed to confirm the Noe-20, 21 or 22 attribution. Direct lighting and a little imagination seems to call forth the lower loop of the S, which is large and suggests that this is either Noe-21 or 22. The planchet is ovoid with a prominent crack at 3 oclock relative to the obverse, shallow straight clip at 10 oclock relative to the same side. Both sides are dark and granular overall.
