拍品描述： YOUNG / THE / MAGICIAN on a 1774 Potosi 2 Reales. Brunk Y-42; Rulau MAV-Z120. VG-8 (NGC). Not much is known about this counterstamp but Brunk has verified just six examples, this being the plate coin in his (2003) book <em>Merchant and Privately Countermarked Coins.</em> Boldly impressed with a seemingly extra O to the left of the stamp. This example displays even steel toning and all the legends and devices are visible. In todays Internet world it is a pleasant exercise to track down advertisements and publicity regarding counterstampers. From the Q. David Bowers Collection. Earlier from our sale of the John J.
