All share a common obverse with a sword-wielding Columbia beneath a glory of 13 stars within Declaration of Independence quote as legend. Reverse for the larger medals feature Liberty crowning kneeling Industry and Art. The smaller medals have a reverse with Act of Congress legend surrounding Independence Centennial inscription.
