There are no marks or other blemishes of note. Sharply defined with a richly original appearance.A right-facing portrait of Richard Nixon, taken from a Presidential medal, is featured on the obverse of the 1969 Assay Commission medal, while the reverse displays the new Philadelphia Mint using a perspective resembling that used on the previously offered 1967 medal. JK AC-113 is one of the more frequently encountered Assay Commission medals of its era, although examples are scarce in an absolute sense.This lot includes the original case for the medal, As Made apart from a light stain at the left edge of the lid and minor peeling to the leather exterior here and there along the edges.
