The reverse features the Flaming Sword of Justice surrounded by the legends ROOSEVELT MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION at the top, IF I MUST CHOOSE / BETWEEN RIGHTEOVSNESS / AND PEACE I CHOOSE /RIGHTEOVSNESS across the sword in the center, and MEDAL OF HONOR at the bottom. The edge is lettered 76 MEDALLIC ART CO. N.Y. Records indicate that to date only 136 examples of this medals have been awarded in any fabric. This choice example possesses a matte bronze finish that highlights the rugged portrait and slightly rippled fields, a unique medallic effect Fraser famously put to good use on the Buffalo Nickel.
