Undated (ca. 1924) Abraham Lincoln Medal. Copper. 39.5 mm. Obverse by Eymann, struck by Thomas Elder. Cunningham 1-780C, King-791, Delorey-57, DeWitt-AL 1860-7C. Mint State. The obverse is lightly toned in iridescent gray-brown with plenty of original pinkish-apricot color remaining. The reverse is more warmly patinated in sandy-brown and silver-olive. All design elements are boldly to sharply rendered, the surfaces with faint carbon flecks and a few wispy handling marks, the latter mostly in the expansive central reverse field. Scarce, this is only the third copper impression from these dies that we have offered in nearly a decade. Collector envelope with attribution notation included.
