Struck from a different reverse die than the GM-34 restrikes, here the tip of the lower right branch from the wreath ends above the left upright of the letter V in DICAVIT, as opposed to above the second letter I in the same word. Polished matte-like silver finish, as issued, with light steel patina outlining many of the design elements. The edge markings identify both the fineness and striking period, and are a variation on the style described by David T. Alexander in a summary of Paris Mint privy marks appearing on medals submitted to <em>The </em><em>E-Sylum, Volume 17, Number 38 </em>(September 14, 2014):<em>"At one time numbers 1, 2, or 3 joined Argent to distinguish fineness in the economically disturbed decades after World War I:</em><em>"Argent1 = Premier titre, believed .925 or what we call Sterling."</em> From the Richard Hoover Collection.
