A curious counterfeit which not only exhibits false Japanese countermarks which are sometimes found on genuine host coins, the host coin here is also a poorly made falsehood being cast base metal and having a fictitious mintmark and assayers letter combination. The metal composition consists of the following elements Cu-57.97%, Ag-17.23%, Sb-11.76%, Pb-11.57% as well as trace elements of Sn, Y and Ni.
