Assayers letters visible at 6 oclock on the obverse confirming the circa date, origin of host and contemporary nature of this "GR" countermark.According to David Andre Levy, author of the outstanding must have reference "The 960 Overstrikes", he speculates that between 15-20 examples are extant for this particular countermark as a host coin.
