GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1687. London Mint. James II. NGC MS-61.S-3407; KM-463. An immensely pleasing and highly attractive crown from the brief reign of James II, the final Catholic monarch of England. The surfaces are wholly enveloped in an alluring gunmetal gray, while some underlying Cradiance adds further charm. Some typical, light striking weakness is noted, but is not at all distracting. Assuredly, worthy of an elite bid and destined for a well deserving cabinet of fine British issues.
