ARAB-SASANIAN: Abd Allah b. al-Zubayr, 680-692, AR drachm (4.05g), GLM-KLMAN (Garm-Kirman), AH63, A-15, unpublished date, very clear (SYShST), 4 years earlier than the oldest date thus far confirmed for this mint; AN in tiny Pahlavi letters at 6:30 in the reverse margin, countermarked Arabic jaiz "current" in ObQ4, minor lamination in ObQ3, choice VF, RRR. The mint name means "warm Kirman," and presumably refers to a location in the provincial south, at much lower altitude and subject to very hot summers. The obverse margin has "bism Allah" in ObQ1, then Pahlavi APD BPLWYAN in ObQ2.
