拍品描述： Circa 1859 Calendar medal by True. Musante GW-303, Baker-385. Brass, Tinned. AU-55 (PCGS).36.6 mm. A much rarer Washington calendar than the usually seen type, but unfortunately with the spinning calendar wheel lost. It is sharp, however, with good integrity to the surfaces and is worthwhile as a representative of this scarce portrait type. A note in the 1864 John McCoy sale stated that his had been recently “picked up in the street” in Washington D.C. and that the writer had never heard of another.Ex William Spohn Baker Collection, to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania by bequest, November 15, 1897.
